Comprehensive   v   Competitive   v  Sporting

New Eccles Hall School believes that physical education is a most important part of the curriculum.  All pupils take part in a wide ranging programme with the individual and team sports well provided for. The school is well resourced with extensive grounds, indoor swimming pool and activity centre.  

 It is important that those who are keen are able to develop their skills to a high standard with the interest and support of an enthusiastic staff group.     Strong competition takes place in school between the two internal houses; Coke and Keppel.  External fixtures against other schools are planned throughout the year.     

The school also takes an active role in both regional and national sporting events organised by the Independent School Association (ISA) with some pupils representing the school in national finals at swimming, cross country, athletics and rugby.   New Eccles Hall School has for a number of years now hosted the East Anglian Athletics Championships.

Sporting Activities available at New Eccles Hall:

Rugby Union, Hockey, Soccer, Netball, Cross Country Running, Swimming, Horse Riding, Athletics, Rounders and Soft Ball, Cricket, Volleyball, Basketball, Tennis, Archery,  Target Shooting,  Clay Pigeon Shooting, High Ropes, Climbing Wall, Dance, Martial Arts.
