The School occupies the Eccles Hall estate which was at one time the Dower house for the far larger Quidenham estate,  once the country seat for the Keppel family who came over to England from Holland with William and Mary and in return for their services in the bloodless revolution  of 1688  were granted the Earldom Of Albemarle.       One of the Houses in the school is named after the Keppel family.

The grounds, which extend to thirty acres provide an ideal learning environment and are set in the beautiful countryside of south Norfolk just off  the A11,  the main road connection between London and Norwich.

There is ample space for playing fields, gardens and buildings.   The school is secluded and secure and pupils enjoy free access to the fields and woodlands with very  few areas off limits.
