Boarding

Comfortable     v   Caring    v     Welcoming

New Eccles Hall has a thriving boarding community with full,  weekly and flexi boarders throughout the age range.    Boarding pupils are housed in two separate units for Juniors and Seniors respectively.  Girl boarders   are housed in a tastefully converted stable block behind the old hall.        Each boarding house is staffed by resident teachers who supervise all activities. They have a sound  understanding of  the pupils in their care.  New Eccles Hall School does not have a prefect system.

Pupils are accommodated  in small dormitories in the Junior House and older pupils are afforded more privacy in single or twin bedded rooms.

There is ample space in all boarding areas for relaxation.  TV  and games rooms and quiet areas.  They are comfortable and well maintained and pupil input is invited during refurbishment of their common rooms.

House staff ensure that pupils are  looked after with a high level of  care.   There is a busy and varied weekly routine ensuring a balance between work and leisure.  There is always plenty of opportunity to get involved with out of school activities and clubs.

At the weekend there is a published  programme of activities and excursions organised for boarding pupils by staff on duty to organise not merely supervise.   Trips to Norwich for  shopping,  visits to other places of interest, organised events in school.   Day pupils are encouraged  to take part in the weekend  activities if they wish.
